CardioComm Solutions’ HeartCheck PEN ECG device

Having visited my doctor yesterday I happened to inquire about a small device I noticed in his office. Given that he is always into the latest gizmos I thought it was some new high tech tool or a cool looking USB storage device. Well Dr Paul told me that it was a portable handheld ECG monitor device developed by CardioComm Solutions that can detect an arrhythmia in people. Using the HeartCheck PEN, you can simply take heart readings the moment you feel any symptoms.

This portable device is FDA approved and is relatively inexpensive. However the PEN can only be purchased with a valid prescription from a health care professional. Using the provided USB interface, a medical physician can connect the PEN ECG device to their computer to view and manage your heart recordings.

Not true. The HeartCheck PEN is actually the only device of its kind FDA cleared for consumer use (no prescription needed to buy).
