There are a multitude of smart locks on the market. HAVR‘s BrightLock is a different connected lock that distinguishes itself from the competition. Unlike smart locks that use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to connect, BrightLock uses LiFi (short for light fidelity) and your smart phone to open your door. With BrightLock, unlock your door with the light from your smartphone. If you prefer an old-school solution for day-to-day use, you can still use your keys.
Li-Fi is more secure than Wi-Fi
Whats the big deal you may ask? Instead of sending data through a radio signal that is transmitted through the air, LiFi transmits information through the light of an LED bulb. Unlike Wi-Fi, LiFi is physically more secure as it does not leave the room or house. In fact, LiFi technology can be considered to be “ultra secure”. The transmission of coded information which makes it possible to unlock the lock is concentrated at one point, the risks of hacking are greatly limited.

- Identify who you want to share with
- Customize the access settings (ie date time)
