Falls are a serious health issue for seniors, as they can cause injuries, disabilities, and even death. According to a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 36 million falls are reported among older adults each year—resulting in more than 32,000 deaths. Every second of every day, an older adult (age 65+) suffers a fall in the U.S.—making falls the leading cause of injury and injury death in this age group.
Artificial Intelligence to detect and Alert

What distinguishes this from other approaches to senior care is that Nobi leverages advanced Artificial Intelligence to automate the detection and notification of falls, eliminating the need for a person to push a help button after a fall. Should a fall occur, Nobi asks the senior “did you fall” and if the answer is anything but “no” then Nobi send a notification to a caregiver for assistance. This provides older adults and their families with peace of mind that every fall will be detected . Nobi will still send an alert for assistance within 30 seconds, even if the fallen senior is unconscious and unable to request help.
Automated Smart Lighting
At night, Nobi’s automated lighting prevents disorientation and ensures people can find their way when waking up and going to the bathroom. The smart lamp emits soft light every time a resident sits up in bed. This simple action often suffices to reassure a confused resident. If the resident intends to leave the bed, the lighting becomes brighter, making it easy to find the way to the bathroom. This innovation is also a powerful tool to prevent numerous falling incidents.
