OnePlus, a company that lives by the credo “Never Settle”, has introduced a smart watch that promises to be the ultimate in wearables for consumers.
During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, Spain, OnePlus revealed its high-end wearable device.
Weighing in at 49 grams, the OnePlus Watch 2 is engineered with a 2.5D sapphire crystal cover to enhance scratch resistance while maintaining clear visibility. Its chassis, crafted from stainless steel, ensures durability against rust and corrosion. It is water resistant (5ATM+IP68, MIL-STD-810H) in fresh water to a maximum depth of 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes, and are protected from dust – all without the need for extra cases or covers.
The standout feature of this wearable is its remarkable battery life. The OnePlus Watch 2 boasts an impressive endurance, running for days on a single charge, with up to 100 hours of usage in Smart Mode. This performance significantly surpasses that of the Apple Ultra 2, which offers up to 36 hours of battery life on a single charge and extends to 72 hours in Low Power Mode. Additionally, the OnePlus Watch 2 supports up to 35 hours of continuous outdoor exercise with GPS and LTE activated in Low Power Mode.

The OnePlus Watch 2 is engineered with a unique Dual-Engine Architecture, integrating two top-tier chipsets: the Snapdragon W5 for high-performance tasks and the BES 2700 MCU for efficiency. The latter manages RTOS operations, overseeing background processes and simpler functions, while the former tackles the more intensive activities.
This smartwatch also introduces customizable button programming, reminiscent of the Apple Watch Ultra’s Action key, allowing users to assign shortcuts to the two available buttons.
