Innovative IoT Cooking heats up the Smart Kitchen

One of the critical battlegrounds in the Intelligent Connected home is the Smart kitchen.

Built to help consumers to save money, conserve energy and optimize workloads the vision for the smart kitchen continues to evolve.  Innovative devices such as smart coffee makers, or Wi-Fi connected fridges may only be the start of the IoT kitchen transformation. The global smart home market spending on the Internet of Things is predicted to reach a value of more than 40 billion U.S. dollars by 2020.

Things have only begun to heat up in the kitchen. Our friends at June have unveiled the Wi-Fi connected Smart Oven.  A merger of June Cleaver meets Rosie the Robot, the June Intelligent Oven is seven appliances in one and will replace your convection oven, air fryer, dehydrator, slow cooker, broiler, toaster, and warming drawer. However there is more to this device than being the Swiss Army knife of ovens.  You can connect your June Oven to the internet via WiFi and can control it remotely on your Apple or iOS mobile device.  Unlike your cat, June will recognize and follow Alexa voice commands. “Alexa, tell June to preheat to 350

The June Intelligent Oven’s internal camera is smart enough to recognize what food you put in. Simply insert your food, select the preferred cooking setting (ie rare, medium, well done) and wait for June to let you know when its ready. June simply makes cooking anything perfect and easy.

The June Oven comes with over one hundred professional auto-cook programs so you can bake a cake, cook your veggies, toast some bread, warm up last nights dinner, slow cook a roast and much more at the swipe of your finger.
