The Roku Channel Launches in Canada

The king of streaming video players and licenses, Roku has just announced the Roku Channel in Canada. Available on current generation* Roku devices, this free new streaming channel offers a collection of more than 5,000 free and paid for channels that offer access to 150,000 movies and TV episodes. The Roku Channel will be rolled out over the coming weeks, starting today. Once available for their device, Roku users can add the channel from the Roku Channel Store and start streaming free movies and TV shows

The Roku Channel requires no subscriptions, fees or logins. Roku is the industry leader in streaming devices, with data from research firm Parks Associates estimating that Roku commands an industry-leading 37% of the market.  Launched in September 2017 in the US, the Roku channel is now the 12th-most-watched channel on Roku.
